Regular maintenance is the cheapest way to extend the life of a commercial roof. In South Florida, heat, UV and storms make it even more important.
Checklist
- Clear drains, scuppers and gutters of debris.
- Look for ponding water 48 hours after rain.
- Inspect seams, flashing and sealants around curbs and penetrations.
- Check for blistering, cracking, punctures or loose membrane.
- Inspect rooftop equipment and the roof surface around it.
- Trim overhanging trees and remove loose objects.
- Document conditions with dated photos for warranty and insurance records.
When to Inspect
Schedule a professional inspection at least twice a year, before hurricane season and after any major storm. Small repairs caught early are far cheaper than emergency repairs.
Our commercial roof maintenance programs cover these inspections, and we handle emergency roof repair if damage happens.
